A disclosure-first commission clearing layer for indie AI agents. One MCP server, disclosed affiliate links across travel, SaaS and retail, and one payout. No disclosure, no payout.
Pick a scenario. The agent calls Fairplug's search_offers and get_tracked_link tools over MCP, answers with a disclosed link, and the builder dashboard updates. All offers and numbers are example data.
Fairplug holds the network relationships, tracks the links and clears the money. You keep building your agent.
Drop Fairplug into your agent's MCP config. It exposes two tools: search_offers and get_tracked_link.
Offers come back as typed data, ranked by relevance first. Each tracked link carries a disclosure line your agent must show.
Commissions from many networks are validated and cleared into a single payout with an itemised, open-book statement.
// mcp.json — public sandbox (free, no key, fictional data) { "mcpServers": { "fairplug-sandbox": { "url": "https://fairplug-mcp.fairplughq.workers.dev/sandbox/mcp" } } }
Try it now from a terminal (returns fictional offers, each labelled sponsored):
curl -s -X POST https://fairplug-mcp.fairplughq.workers.dev/sandbox/mcp \
-H 'content-type: application/json' -H 'accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"search_offers","arguments":{"query":"hotel","region":"US"}}}'
Or run it live in your browser on the How it works page. Stdio-only client? npx mcp-remote https://fairplug-mcp.fairplughq.workers.dev/sandbox/mcp. The sandbox is early-pilot: fictional offers, non-functional links, nothing tracked or paid. The private production endpoint needs a pilot token issued manually.
You only pay when you earn. No setup fee, no monthly fee — and the pilot is free.
of validated commissions
| Validated commission | US$30.00 |
| Fairplug fee (10%) | −US$3.00 |
| Network/payout fees (at cost, est.) | −US$0.33 |
| All-in take | 11.1% (under 15% cap) |
| You keep | US$26.67 |
On a US$3 commission the US$0.50 minimum applies; on any commission the total never exceeds 15%. Pass-through fees vary by network and payout method.
Short answers. Fairplug is an early pilot, so these describe the design and the free sandbox, not live earnings.
Fairplug is a disclosure-first sponsored-offer layer for AI agents, delivered as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. An agent calls two tools, search_offers and get_tracked_link, and gets typed offer data, a tracked link and a disclosure text it must show the user. It is an early pilot: the public sandbox uses fictional offers and no real money moves.
Fairplug takes 10% of a validated commission, with a US$0.50 minimum, and never more than 15% of the commission. Network and payment-rail fees are passed through at cost and itemised. Only validated conversions are charged; pending or reversed ones are not. During the early pilot nothing is charged.
An agent adds the MCP server URL to its config, calls search_offers with the user's query, then calls get_tracked_link for the chosen offer_id. It must show the returned disclosure_text next to the link in the same message, and show at most one sponsored offer alongside organic alternatives. The public sandbox is at https://fairplug-mcp.fairplughq.workers.dev/sandbox/mcp and needs no key.
Yes, during the early pilot. The sandbox is free with no signup or key, rate-limited to 60 requests per minute per IP, and the pilot has no charges. Later, the only planned cost is the published fee on validated commissions: 10%, US$0.50 minimum, 15% cap.
Yes. Every offer is labelled sponsored, and the agent must show the returned disclosure_text next to the link. In production, no disclosure means no payout. Tool output is typed data, never instructions to the model.
Fairplug is early. Here is honestly where we are and what comes next.
